Each year we have hosted missionaries from different churches to come to Kenya and to join us in the great work that God is doing in Africa. The groups vary in size from one missionary to many. We have even hosted one church that brought seventeen missionaries at one time!
The groups also vary in the types of ministry they bring. Many have the gift of evangelism or preaching or teaching. Some have a healing and deliverance ministry. Some missionaries work with the children’s ministry. Others provide greatly needed medical care to the people in our communities. And still others provide vocational training. There is much to be done and every gift is important in God’s Kingdom.
There are many benefits to a local church community when they get involved in God’s work on the Mission field ~
• They become more aware of what God is doing in the world today!
• They find fresh purpose in the Kingdom by becoming an active part of what God is doing and in being a part of fulfilling the great commission!
• They get in touch with the needs of other Christians around the world!
• They get strengthened and stretched in their faith!
• They become more active members in their home church, fired-up with the knowledge and experience of what God can do!
• Their lives will never be the same!
Jesus said,
“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore
pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
~ Matt 9:38
We have prayed to the Lord of the harvest. Are you the answer to our prayer? Is God calling you to labor with us in the great harvest that is taking place in Kenya?
